Urbana Boys XCountry finished a super-impressive 4th in the team competition at this year’s Frederick County Championship, the title going to Oakdale. Props to the Bears. Friday afternoon, the Hawks XCountry varsity runners met the best runners from the CMC Conference, and Urbana claimed a 3rd place finish in the team standings, just a few points behind the #2 team. Great, GREAT, individual times were turned in by the Hawks. 4 Hawks blasted through the tape in sub-18 minute times, and
Clarksburg HS hosted the Coyote Run on Thursday at nearby High Point Farms. 9 schools participated, including 1 from Howard Co., and 7 from Montgomery Co., many of the top programs in the state. It was a fast race, and the Hawks did great! Each school was permitted up to 7 runners, and for Urbana,
Urbana captured 2nd place at The Cougar Challenge, run at Catoctin High School Saturday morning. The Hawks finished ahead of 7 other schools, and only 13 points behind 1st place! In individual standings, Luke Hartlaub finished in 2nd by less than 8 seconds. 85 runners in total represented the 9 schools, with Urbana placing 4
15 schools across the region competed Saturday morning at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Williamsport High School, and the Hawks team finished in an impressive 5th place. In all, 128 runners raced, and every Hawk finished in the Top 100! The team was led by senior Luke Hartlaub, who finished in 14th, Henry Rodrigues (27th)
